METAMORPHOSIS
OPENING NIGHT
The bubbles were flowing, the smiles were wide, and the room was filled with artists and supporters of our latest exhibition, Metamorphosis.
The exhibition was opening by LAS President Tessa Way, Launceston General Hospital Historical, Visual and Performing Arts Committee President, Deanna Ellis, and Secretary and Treasurer Paul Richard AM with the opening address by Dr Eric Ratcliff OAM.
Dr Ratcliff was particularly excited to view the exhibits, saying. “... the quality of idea and execution is remarkable: not a single piece of ‘airport art’ in sight ... most of the exhibitors have responded with abstractions, or figurative pieces metamorphosing into abstraction, but there are accomplished visions in which familiar reality is transformed”. Special thanks goes to the hard working Exhibitions Team who did a fabulous job.
The exhibition can be enjoyed at the Artrium Gallery,
41 Franklin Street, Launceston
