Inspirations Exhibition Information
Inspiration is defined as 'a feeling of enthusiasm you get from someone or something, which gives you new and creative ideas that enables the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative".

Theme
Your ideas may develop from art movements, local or international artists, the environment, still-life, portraiture, animals, landscape or anything that creates the desire to produce art.
This exhibition will be judged via People’s Choice voting with the prizes awarded according to votes received. There is a $500 award from LAS for this highest number of votes with a $250 voucher donated by Art Stretchers and a $150 voucher from Launceston Art Centre to second and third winners.

Entry is via Jotform online or in person at our headquarters at RSL on a Wednesday. Please name exhibition when filling form from our website and all details as listed on page. There is a limit of two entries per member and entry fees of $10 for first entry and $5 for the second.

Conditions of Entry
1. Work will only be accepted from artists who were financial members prior to the exhibition.
2. Entry forms must be completed and returned by the advertised closing date. Entry fees to be paid via direct deposit to the LAS account or at LAS Headquarters, 313 Wellington Street, Launceston by close of entry date.
3. All work must be the original work of the exhibitor and not previously exhibited ina LAS exhibition.
4. All work to be exhibited must be delivered to the exhibition venue on the advertised delivery date and at the correct time. Late entries will not be accepted, except at the discretion of the Exhibition Co-ordinator.
5. A label with the artist’s name, contact details, medium, size (H.xW.) and price of work to be securely fixed to the BACK LOWER RIGHTHAND SIDE (Back view). Artist’s statements will not be hung beside the work unless it is specific condition for the exhibition.
6. Selection of paintings for display may be by members of the committee. Most artworks will be displayed if Conditions of Entry are followed and space permits.
7. No work, after it has been accepted and hung, shall be moved nor removed from the venue until the exhibition has closed.
8. All artworks must be well framed and have wire (not cord) and D rings for hanging. Unframed canvases are considered suitable as long as the edges are tidy. Wire (not cord) and D rings are also required on canvases.
9. Each financial member may submit works. Hanging space is limited and we can only accept eight large paintings with a maximum size of 1.5m High and 1m wide. These will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. All other works should be limited to approximately 70cm x 70cm, or less. Please contact the Exhibition Co-ordinator if you have any doubts.
10. Please note that all exhibitors are required to sit in attendance at the exhibition to welcome guests, answer any queries about the works, and most importantly, sell paintings.
11. Artists agree that images of their work may be used for promotional purposes eg Facebook, website, flyers etc.
12. All entries to be for sale and a 20% commission will apply.
13. A non-refundable entry fee of $10 for first painting and $5 for the second painting applies, with the limit of two works per financial member.
14. Paintings, both sold and unsold, need to be collected at the advertised collection time. All care will be taken with work, but LAS will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or theft of any work in the exhibition. Artists are advised to insure their own works.
15. Artists who have a registered ABN are responsible for their own GST.
