Many of you will remember Vicki Chapman, who was one of the star performers at Artists in Action 2015.
Vicki is an art teacher of many years experience, having taught at UTas, TAFE and with the Colour Circle in Hobart.
Whilst training at art school, she majored in printmaking without the use of a press, learning the techniques of lino printing, silk screen printing and etching. Vicki has devoted most of her time over the last ten years painting mostly in oils and acrylics. However she still maintains a passion for lino printing.
At her lino printing workshop, Vicki will be demonstrating and teaching students the art of printmaking, using the new Ezicarve blocks. Lino printing is one of the easiest forms of printmaking without a press. Using the ezicarve block makes it a pleasure to carve and makes it a whole lot faster to produce beautiful printworks. SO! Get yourself going - whether you have tried lino printing before or not, this promises to be a productive, creative and fun workshop. The aim is for each participant to finish up with several personalized greeting cards completed on the day.
