Whilst born and educated in Victoria, for most of my life I have lived in Launceston with my husband Arthur. We have three beautiful daughters and a large extended family. During my younger days I was always interested in pastels, entering and winning several junior art ‘competitions’. On moving to Tasmania, with my young family to care for and later undertaking a very successful professional business career, I never had the time nor the opportunity to pursue my love of pastels further, until 1999 when I commenced classes under the critical eye of the late Greg Waddle, learning about perspective, colour, composition and tonal quality. What a master he was!

My Pastel mentor was well known award winning Tasmanian Artist and tutor, Leonie Duff. I have been fortunate to attend many of her workshops, always coming away totally refreshed and full of enthusiasm for more artistic works to embark upon.

My pastel art in landscape, seascape, portraiture and figurative works have been well received with many hanging in board rooms and private houses in Tasmania, on the mainland of Australia, in America and Germany. I particularly love to do commission work and find these most challenging.
