At age 58 I started my studies as a mature age, external student, with the University Of New England, NSW in 1995. I graduated on the 7th April 2001 with a Bachelor of Asian Studies degree. I started Art classes, drawing & watercolour painting, at the Adult Education Centre under the tutorship of Ms Cheyne Purdue. I continued classes & during 2005 &2006 included oil painting. During the latter part of 2006 I started lessons in portraiture. I enjoy painting & my subject preference is landscape. Some of my works have been successfully exhibited during the last twelve months, no prizes won but hopefully the purchased works are bringing pleasure to their new owners.
