GWTAA - GREAT WESTERN TIERS ART AWARD 2018
The inaugural GWTAA was officially opened on Thursday, 1st March.
Congratulations to the winners: Major Award winner - Pauline Winwood, 'Three Tiers' Highly Commended winner - Darren Meader, 'Movement and Decay on Quamby Bluff Highly Commended winner - Lynne Hutchins, 'Moving Mountains of Hay' Essence of the Valley winner - Brad Quinn, 'Tractor, Quamby Bluff' Encouragement Award winner - Louise Skabo, 'Basil Steers Hut #1' People's Choice - Phil Austen, 'Bastions of the Valley' This year’s theme was ‘Moving Mountains" with the work illustrating the artists' interpretations of this theme. The Great Western Tiers Art Award is proudly provided through a partnership between Meander Valley Council and the Launceston Art Society. Council is pleased to announce that the two sponsors for this inaugural exhibition are the Deloraine & Districts Community Bank and the Great Western Tiers Tourism Assocation. |
