COST $70
VENUE Greg & Gill Waddle's Evandale Studio, 35 Collins Street Evandale
Artists interested in building their own art website.
The course takes the participant through the essential elements of creating a new website.
It will run over two consecutive Saturday morning sessions of three hours each.
Students will be tutored by Eero Tarik, a professional technology tutor.
Eero will instruct students in how to build a website and then support them as they undertake the task of building a website from scratch.
· Equipment – each participant will need to bring a laptop. If you have a smartphone which is capable of being used as a hotspot that is useful, otherwise Eero will provide the hotspot. (This allows connection to the internet)
· Course structure – 1st session – Overview of Word Press and the website creation process. Detailed outline of how Word Press is installed and operates.
· Participants will then begin to create a Word Press installation under supervision and create some new content for their site. It is useful for each person to have pre-prepared half a dozen photos of their artwork on their computer that they can use in class. Participants will be given tasks as homework during the week between sessions. The tutor will be available and provide email support.
· 2nd session – Problem solving for the week’s work. Individual development of each participant’s website.
Participants need to bring a laptop.
The number of participants in each course is capped at 6.
If there are enough members interested, a separate additional afternoon class (1.00 - 4.00 pm) will be organized for the same days as the Saturday morning sessions.
Payment due Monday June 1st 2015
