Over many years I have explored a variety of subjects and used different media for my expression, but I have always been attracted to painting landscapes.
Although I painted with oils for some time the problem with solvents pushed me into using acrylics – a medium I found to be exciting and versatile. Whilst my work has been interpreted as “traditional” it moves into a contemporary impressionist style with emphasis on capturing the qualities of light and colour in the landscape. I have exhibited and sold my work over many years with various galleries and exhibitions. More recent successes include: True Blue Gallery Hobart HAOTI Winter Collection – Salamanca Long Gallery Hobart – (3 years) HAOTI Most Affordable – Summer Collection – (5 years) Melbourne Affordable Art Show 2005 Camberwell Art Exhibition Launceston Art Society – Celebrating Life 2007– Highly Commended Meandering 2007 – Bullock Consulting Award – “The Essence of the Valley”. 1.
