Carolyn Riley currently serves on the LAS Committee.  She became President in 2016 and before that worked tirelessly as the Workshop Co-ordinator.  She has been responsible for bringing to Launceston the likes of Joseph Zbukvic, Ev Hales, John Orlando Burt, Paul Margocsy, De Gillett and others too numerous to mention.  
Carolyn was originally a school teacher and became a student of art when she retired - never really left the classroom!
She attended Launceston TAFE, enrolled in the Art, Craft and Design Diploma course.  Afterwards she joined Rosemary Hill's private watercolour classes as well as attending many of the workshops run for the LAS.
Carolyn was awarded Life Membership of LAS for her outstanding service.
