Alison is a Tasmanian born artist who paints predominantly in watercolour. The beauty of the Tasmanian landscape and the abundance of historic old buildings continually inspire her work.
2011 Winner – Excellence in Watercolour prize, Eskleigh Tasmanian Art Awards. 2010 Winner – Excellence in Watercolour prize, Eskleigh Tasmanian Art Awards. 2009 Commissions including paintings as trophies for award winners at the Wrest Point Royal Hobart Wine Show. 2009 Winner – Religious Art prize – LAS, Holy Trinity exhibition. 2008 Commissions including paintings as trophies for award winners at the Wrest Point Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards. 2007 Finalist – Glover Award for Tasmanian Landscape painting. 2007 Solo exhibition at Meadowbank Winery. 2006 Solo exhibition at Meadowbank Winery. 2006 and 07 TAFE – completed Certificate 4 in Visual Arts Workshops with Ev Hales, Joseph Zbukvic and Ross Paterson. Adult Education with Rosemary Hill, Cheyne Perdue and Graham Whittle Work exhibited and sold at Eskleigh, Woolmers, Max Fry, Cradle Coast and Launceston Art Society exhibitions, as well as private commissions. Paintings have been selected for a local calendar many times. |
